R.I.C.E. therapy

Sprains and strains of muscles and tendons are common sports injuries. Try a basic treatment with the mnemonic “R.I.C.E” for these types of injuries:

 

Rest

Stop the activity immediately. Continued stress can increase the damage done to the tissue.

Ice

Apply a Tensor™ Cold Compress.

Compressor

Apply compression with a Tensor™ Wrap. Compression can help to reduce swelling.

Elevation

Elevate the injured limb above the level of the heart to help drain excess fluid from the area.
